Clay.io is not a game engine, you won't be able to make a complete game with our API - just enhance a game with social and payment features. There are however some great game engines being developed, here are our recommendations.
offers a game engine that helps with commercial quality games that are optimized for the mobile web, allowing you to leverage more distribution channels. Here are two good examples of games made using TreSensa's engine: Rocket Cat
is a fast lightweight 2D library for games, with great performance on mobile devices as well. See Run pixi Run

Construct 2 allows you to create games by dragging and dropping items and using a visual editor. This video will give you a good feel for the game development process. Here are two good examples of games made with Scirra: AirScape and 8 Bits Runner
